The green grape that Chardonnay is grown from thrives in colder climates such as wine-growing regions in France, the Pacific Northwest, South Africa, and New Zealand. Chardonnay is light, with a creamy aftertaste, with hints of green apple, lemon, pineapple, and celery. It’s all rounded with a candy-esque complete.
2. Sauvignon Blanc Wine
Sauvignon Blanc is a green-tasting white wine and counts as one of the world’s most heavily planted wines. Sauvignon Blanc has very high acidity, punchy fruit notes, and some earthiness underneath with hints of green pepper, elderflowers, grass cuttings, and marjoram.
The younger the Sauvignon Blanc, the more earthy it is going to taste. The best white wines in this category are those which know how to balance ‘greenery’ and silky fruit.
